The campaign against ever increasing tax on beer in pubs is building momentum. Seventy two MPs have joined us in calling on the Government to safeguard the future of well run community pubs.
Over 13,000 people have joined the Facebook group in support of lower beer tax and over 7,000 people have contacted their MP.
The “Axe the Beer Tax – Save the Pub” campaign, run by the British Beer and Pub Association and the Campaign for Real Ale, is highlighting the plight of the British pub and is urging Government to take action to prevent pub closures, currently running at 36 every week.
