West Kent has 20 pubs in this year’s guide down from 23 in previous years. This reduction in numbers does not reflect any reduction in the quality of pubs in West Kent, it results from the space limitations of the Good Beer Guide and the increasing numbers of quality pubs countrywide. The number of pubs nominated last year was over 30 and it was very hard work to make the tough decisions as to which pubs made it through.

The committee are working on a historical listing of pubs in the Good Beer Guide. Following CAMRA guidelines we will not publish the current guide’s entries until 12 months after publication.
