Chairman’s Report

It was good to see such a good turn-out at the Windmill POTY presentation, thank you all for making the effort. I would like to encourage you all to take part in the revitalisation project and ensure that you complete the survey sent to you by HQ. It would be good if you also encourage other members to do the same.  You don’t have to be a CAMRA member to go on the on-line form so it so this might encourage more people to take part.       https://revitalisation.camra.org.uk/

Secretaries Report:

We have completed the judging of the COTY, the clubs were, Smallholders in Wigmore; Dartford WM club; Marden Club and Con Club in TW.   the four judges were Craig Beeson, Carole Dalgleish, Tony Mantle and David Stickings. Completed forms being sent to Jeff Tucker at Maidstone.

Other matters

Having written to Greg Clark MP asking him to write to the Chancellor to make the case for another 1p cut in beer duty in the Budget as reported last meeting, I received a reply as attached on 14/3/16. Also in response to CAMRA’s email I completed the survey form for the government’s consultation on the proposed new alcohol consumption guidelines but on this one there was insufficient time to include in a flyer before the survey closed.
Memberships Secretary Report Just one net addition to our Branch membership numbers since last month. The total now stands at 590. No further news since last month.
